Relationship Manager (IA, Dubuque)

Job Summary:

The relationship manager cultivates and enhances long-term relationships for Retirement accounts, ensuring client loyalty, as well as retention of clients and plan assets.

Location: The ideal candidate will be located in our Dubuque, IA office and will work in a hybrid model, 3 days per week in office. (Remote candidates may also be considered)

 

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and enhance relationships with Clients, Financial Advisors, and Partners by providing engaging on-going service; serve as the primary point of contact for all assigned Clients, Financial Advisors, and Partners.
  • Create and execute plan enhancements via plan design consultations for full service compliance customers.
  • Address and resolve plan compliance, regulatory and operational issues in conjunction with the TPA and Advisor, if applicable.
  • Partner with Client and Advisor in the development and execution of participant engagement strategies; support plan participant meetings when necessary.
  • Identify client needs and proactively propose value add services; introduction and rollout of new products and services offered by American Trust Retirement.
  • Coordinates strategic business and communication planning while balancing client needs, opportunities for relationship enhancement and profitability
  • Prepare and deliver Annual Service Reviews where appropriate, including presenting at on-site meetings when necessary.
  • Review all accounts in accordance with department standards.
  • Adhere to team individual service and retention goals.
  • Other duties as identified and assigned by Management.
  • Travel as required to satisfy the needs of key advisor, TPA and sponsor relationships.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience and 5+ years of retirement plan industry experience
  • Knowledge of employee benefits, 401(k) plans and ERISA law.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks.

Salary: $75,000 – $90,000 base salary, based on experience, plus eligibility to participate in the company’s bonus program.
