Sr. ESOP Support Specialist (Remote, USA)

Job Summary

This position specializes in the recordkeeping and administration of ESOP/KSOP retirement plans. Primary responsibilities are to analyze incoming data requests and necessary ESOP/401k transactions and effectively implement strategies to complete these tasks in a timely fashion.

 

Responsibilities

Assist processors, relationship managers, and compliance managers to develop creative solutions to technical transactional challenges in Relius.
Communicate with internal processors, relationship managers, compliance managers, and phone representatives to gain complete understanding of challenges in order to develop effective solutions.
Assist compliance and relationship managers with stock recycle/segregation calculations and transactions.
Assist compliance and relationship managers with completion of all required government reporting and provide plan auditor support.
Assist compliance and relationship managers with identification of all participants eligible for diversification and help prepare calculations/notices.
Assist compliance and relationship managers with the NUA (Net Unrealized Appreciation) tracking spreadsheets and assist with 1099-R and 1099-B form creation at year-end.
Assist compliance and relationship managers with distribution and loan requests.
Periodically review all written procedures and processes for accuracy and efficiency.
Assist with creation of new processing instructions for support staff to facilitate new recurring procedures and processes.
Perform quality work in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.
Periodically communicate with plan participants to clarify ESOP/401k transaction instructions.

 

Skills/Abilities

3+ years experience with Relius recordkeeping trading and transaction ledgers.
ASPPA/NIPA Defined Contribution designations a plus.
Must have a minimum of 3 years of Relius Recordkeeping experience working with the trading interface and transaction ledgers.
Crystal Report programming experience is a plus.
Experience creating pivot tables and VLOOKUP formulas in Microsoft Excel required.
Knowledge of legislative regulations of defined contribution plans including, but not limited to, 401(k) and ESOP/KSOPs is a plus.
Experience in working with ESOPs is a plus.
Willingness to work on 401(k), 403(b), and 457(b) plans in addition to ESOP retirement plans is a plus.
Demonstrated ability to identify and problem solve complex situations.
Must be a team player and be able to work independently.
The ability to perform quality work in a fast-paced environment and meet supported deadlines.
Microsoft Office experience required (Excel, Outlook and Word).
Salesforce software experience is a plus.
